Limited Seasonal Portrait Sessions

This spring, I'll be opening a limited number of cinematic style portrait sessions in one of the most beautiful seasonal locations I've photographed.

Tucked away in a private forest setting just over an hour south of Adelaide, this location transforms for a short period each year as seasonal arum lilies emerge beneath the trees, creating a landscape unlike anything most people experience in their everyday lives.

For a few brief weeks, the forest floor becomes blanketed in white lilies. They appear beneath towering trees, fill open clearings, and weave their way through the woodland, creating an extraordinary setting for portraits.

The season is short. Availability is limited. And once the flowers fade, the opportunity is gone until another year.

The Arum Lilies

Every year, for a short period during spring, this forest transforms.

What is normally a beautiful woodland setting becomes blanketed in white arum lilies. They emerge beneath the trees, spread across open clearings, and weave their way through the forest floor, creating a scene that is genuinely breathtaking to experience in person.

Photographs simply don't do justice to the scale of it.

One of the things I love most about these sessions is watching people arrive and take it all in for the first time. Before we've even started taking photographs, there's often a moment where they simply stop and look around.

It's quiet. Peaceful. Beautiful.

And for a few short weeks each year, it feels like stepping into a completely different world.

For me, that's what makes these sessions so special.

My approach is relaxed and gently guided. Rather than placing you into a series of poses, I'll provide direction where needed while allowing genuine moments, interactions, and connections to unfold naturally... consider it storytelling with a cinematic touch.

The Experience

One of the things I love most about these sessions is that no two are ever the same.

While the location provides an incredible backdrop, the heart of every session is the people within it.

Children are free to explore, couples are encouraged to slow down and simply enjoy being together, and families are given space to connect naturally. Throughout the session, I'll gently guide you when needed, but there is no expectation to perform for the camera.

Instead, I work with the dynamics of your family, your relationship, and this season of life you're currently in.

The combination of the forest, the lilies, the changing light, and your own story creates photographs that feel cinematic, artistic, and deeply personal.

The goal isn't simply to create beautiful images. It's to create artwork that reflects who you are and preserves a moment that will never exist in quite the same way again.

Location Information

These sessions take place in a beautiful forest location just over an hour south of Adelaide.

The drive is straightforward and well worth the journey.

Because this location is both seasonal and particularly special to me, exact location details will be shared only with booked clients. This helps preserve the experience and ensures the area remains a beautiful place for future sessions.

Styling Your Session

What you wear plays an important role in the overall look and feel of your images.

To make the most of the location and it's beauty, you will receive information on what photographs well in this setting, helping you feel confident and ensuring your images complement the location perfectly.

Investment

A session fee of $155 secures your booking and your place within this limited seasonal offering.

Due to the limited nature of these sessions, all bookings are non-refundable.

Approximately two to four weeks after your session, you'll receive access to a private online gallery where you can view your photographs and choose how you would like to enjoy them.

This collection also includes a complimentary 8x12 inch marine-grade timber print, professionally prepared and ready to display in your home.

A Note About The Season

As with any seasonal flowering location, the appearance of the lilies is heavily influenced by winter rainfall.

The more rain we receive throughout winter, the more abundant the flowering season tends to be.

Thankfully, early signs are looking very promising, and I'm excited to see how the forest develops over the coming months.

Session Availability

These sessions will take place towards the end of September through October, with dates released towards the end of winter.

Availability will be intentionally limited to preserve the experience and make the most of the short flowering season.
